Passionate about Natural and Natural-Color Diamonds, Rosy Blue's CEO Mr. Dilip Mehta started a program together with Richard Werdiger, CEO of MWI, to promote the beauty and the appeal of Natural Color Diamonds. What was a mere concept 3 months ago has developed into a fully functioning organization with international members and numerous projects in the pipeline: the NCDIA.
| The NCDIA's debut at the Oscars was a stunning success. Four of the NCDIA members - MWI, Kashikey, Rio Tinto and Rosy Blue - together with famed dress designer Randi Rahm offered the very best of Natural Color DJ to the red carpet celebrities. In the NCDIA suite at Le Meridien in Beverly Hills, stylists and stars were riveted by three extravagant diamond dresses that value close to $6 million! The amber dress, which featured more than 2,000 champagne diamonds totaling over 3,000 carats from MWI was worth a staggering $2.5 million and was worn by CBS Entertainment Tonight's beautiful Maria Menounos. The pink diamond dress, valued at over $1.5 million with 500 carats of very rare natural color pink diamonds from Argyle was worn by actress Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill, Independence Day,…), as she graced the red carpets all over town! The chocolate diamond dress with over 500 carats of chocolate, wheat and white natural color diamonds from Rosy Blue and MWI and worth close to $1.5 million, was featured in Good Morning America's pre-Oscars coverage. |
Another eye-catcher was the one-of-a-kind Tamarine diamond necklace, designed by Rosiblu - Rosy Blue's jewelry brand. Both fashion expert Joan Rivers from E! Entertainment and morning anchorwoman Dorothy Lucey from Fox TV's "Good Day LA" and "Good Day Live" wore the stunner on their respective shows. Valued at more than $1 million, Rosiblu's Tamarine necklace is made up of more than 175 carats of natural fancy color diamonds and includes a 100 carat melo pearl that was once owned by a maharajah.
In addition, other celebrities, personalities and VIPs donned the NCDIA members' natural color diamonds: nominees for Best Screenplay Naomi & Tess Sheridan, Victoria Rowell, Melissa George, Extra's Dayna Devon, Fox TV's anchor Lisa Breckenridge, actress Nicole Parker... | | |
'The NCDIA's launch during the Academy Awards season was a great success and we are extremely pleased and excited to note the growing awareness of Natural Diamonds and Natural Color Diamonds,' states Dilip Mehta, Vice-President, NCDIA.
