WDC 3rd Annual Meeting Hosted by Dubai

The World Diamond Council is to hold its third annual meeting in Dubai next week, hosted by the Dubai Metals & Commodities Centre under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai & UAE Minister of Defense.
The meeting, to take place from March 29 to 31, will discuss the latest concerning the Kimberley Process and offer bankers' perspectives on the diamond trade.
De Beers’ Nicky Oppenheimer, heads of the different diamond bourses, NGO’s and bankers are scheduled to attend the meeting.
Dubai’s newly founded diamond exchange, part of the DMCC, is in the backdrop of the three day meeting, as the WDC and the trade at large is voicing support for it.
Also on the agenda, guest speaker Dr. Mohammed Khalfan bin Kherbash, Minister of Finance & Industry of the United Arab Emirates and Chairman Eli Izhakoff’s report.
