Federal Approval Keeps Tahera On Course For Jericho Project
June 08, 04Canada’s Tahera Corporation says the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs has approved its Jericho Diamond project, keeping it on course to start construction at the site early next year.

Tahera can now proceed with finalizing the required permits and authorizations for the project, including the water permit and land leases. Tahera expects to complete these requirements this year.
The federal approval of the Jericho Diamond project follows approval from the Nunavut Impact Review Board (NIRB) earlier this year. The NIRB will issue a project certificate for the Jericho Diamond project in the coming weeks.
Tahera has now successfully completed the environmental assessment process for the Jericho Diamond project.
It has also finalized an Inuit Impact Benefit Agreement with the Kitikmeot Inuit Association that outlines Inuit participation in the project, paving the way for development of Nunavut's first diamond mine.
