Gemesis Announces Expansion Plans

Synthetic diamond manufacturer Gemesis Corporation announced Friday its plans to expand its current facility in Sarasota, FL. The company’s 30,000-square-foot building will more than double in size.

Construction is already underway; once completed, the work will have increased Gemesis production by more than one and a half times its current level.

Gemesis CEO and President Stephen Lux said during the groundbreaking ceremony that, “There has been a noticeable increase in consumer demand for cultured diamonds, and we feel that the time is right to increase our capacity. This plan will help meet the growing demand and give more consumers access to fancy color diamonds.”
