Belgium Exports $1.1 Billion in Polished Diamonds in July
September 02, 10The European diamond center exported 811,036 carats with an average value of $1,380 p/c and a total value of $1.12 billion in July, according to data released Thursday by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC).
Polished diamond imports of 584,898 carats worth $798.1 million averaged $1,364.52 p/c.
Nearly 30 percent of exports, $332.9 million, were shipped to the U.S. The U.S. was also the leading source of imports - $199.5 million worth of polished diamonds, for a net trade of $133.5 million
Israel was the leading supplier of polished diamonds by net trade, $10.7 million.
