Signet Jewelers Same Store Sales Continue to Rise

(IDEX Online News) – Its third quarter results not out yet, but Signet Jewelers is already revealing positive results, saying that same store sales in the first eight weeks of the third quarter are up nearly 10 percent.

Same store sales in the first eight weeks of the third quarter ending on October 29 "continue to be broadly in line with the 9.9% increase reported for its second quarter ended July 29, 2011," Signet announced at its Investor Relations Day in New York Tuesday.

Signet reported a same store sales increase of 7.2 percent in the third quarter of 2010.

In August, Signet posted a 10.8 percent increase in sales to $797.6 million in the second quarter.
