RJC Releases Progress Report

(IDEX Online News) – The Responsible Jewellery Council’s (RJC) 2012 Annual Progress Report, released Monday, profiles the first year of its comprehensive member certification system and highlights its dialogue processes.

The 16-page report (available here) provides summaries of the accomplishments made and the experiences of RJC Members in pursuit of their goal of promoting responsible ethical, human rights, social and environmental practices throughout the industry, from mine to retail.

“This report acknowledges the continuing efforts of RJC Members to enhance the integrity and reputation of the jewelry industry,” said CEO Michael Rae.

“The RJC and its over 370 Members have made tremendous strides since the Council’s inception in 2005 and, through this report, the Council wishes to provide a transparent update on progress.”
