(IDEX Online News) – More than 500 registered buyers, together with more than 400 Israeli diamond firms will be taking part in the US & International Diamond Week at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) which starts tomorrow (Monday).

 

The IDE said that all officials coming into contact with buyers arriving from abroad have been notified, instructed and guided to allow for smooth passage through Israel's border controls, customs authorities and logistical service providers.

 

"This is a huge project," says Ami Parter, a member of the Buyers' Week's organizing committee. "We're hosting three times as many buyers as we had in March, at the first US & International Diamond Week in Israel. There will be close to $2 billion of diamonds offered for sale on the trading floor."

 

In addition to the four-day diamond business event, there is a lecture program evening entertainment.
