The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for October 3, 2013

(IDEX Online News) – There was significant trading activity in round shapes, but almost every change was negative, according to this week's IDEX Online Price Report. That was particularly the case with smaller and medium-size goods.

In fancy shape stones, changes were fairly evenly balanced again between rises and declines, however there were many rises in the 5+ carat category.

• 0.18-0.22 cts D-E / VVS1-VS2 declining
• 0.23-0.29 cts many decreases
• 0.30-0.39 cts almost unchanged
• 0.40-0.44 cts several declines
• 0.45-0.49 cts N / VS1 -3.7% to $1,300 p/c
• 0.50-0.69 cts F / IF-VVS1 declining
• 0.70-0.79 cts many decreases
• 0.80-0.89 cts L-N / SI2 declining
• 0.90-0.99 cts M / VVS1-VS1 decreases of around 3%
• 1.00-1.24 cts G-H / VVS1 declines of about 3%
• 1.25-1.49 cts many sharp decreases
• 2 cts I-K / I1 decreases of approximately 2%
• 3 cts D-E / VVS2 declines of about 3%
• 4 cts I / VVS2-VS1 declining by about 3%
• 5 cts J-K / SI1 rises of around 3%

• 0.23-0.29 cts G / SI2 -5.3% to $900 p/c
• 0.30-00.39 cts F-G / SI1 increases of almost 4%
• 0.40-0.44 cts L / VS2 +5.9% to $900 p/c
• 0.45-0.49 cts L / SI1 +5.9% to $900 p/c
• 0.50-0.69 cts M / VS1 +5.9% to $1,050 p/c
• 0.70-0.79 cts D / VS1 -3.0% to $4,850 p/c
• 0.80-0.89 cts J / SI3-I1 declines of around 3%
• 0.90-0.99 cts J / VS1 +3.5% to $3,000 p/c
• 1.00-1.24 cts D-G / VVS1 declines of around 3%
• 1.50-1.99 cts almost unchanged
• 2 cts I / VVS1-VVS2 declining
