More than 600 DDC, IDE Members at Day 2 of Israel Diamond Week

(IDEX Online News) – A total of more than 600 members of the Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) of New York and the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) took part in the second day of the Israel Diamond Week at the DDC on Tuesday, the DDC said in a statement.

DDC President Reuven Kaufman and IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer said that following high levels of activity on the first day of the event it was proving to be “an unqualified success.”  

The bourse presidents said that members of their exchanges had told them that a substantial amount of trading had taken place on the second day of the buyers' week event.

IDE member Shlomo (Momo) Askenazi of S.A. Diamonds said the Israel Diamond Week “enabled me to conduct business with other dealers and manufacturers in a secure facility and was an outstanding example of DDC-IDE cooperation.”

According to DDC member, Moshe David Reisz of M.D. Reisz, Inc., “Israel Diamond Week presented Club members with a unique opportunity to view an unusually wide range of goods.”

IDE member Chaski Brachfeld of Belisdiam expressed his appreciation to the DDC membership and leadership for organizing the week-long event.

DDC member Michael Poulad of Michael Poulad Inc. praised the organization of the program and expressed interest in continuing to participate in other joint DDC-IDE programs.
