Lucara Receives Approval For Stockholm Exchange Listing
May 19, 14(IDEX Online News) – Lucara Diamond Corp. has obtained approval for a secondary listing of its shares on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm exchange.
The shares are expected to start trading on the Main Market on May 23, with the last day of trading of the company's shares on NASDAQ OMX First North expected to be on May 22, 2014. Holders of the miner's shares are not required to take any action in connection with the listing.
There is no issue of new shares in connection with the Listing, and the trading symbol will remain the same. The Company's common shares will continue to trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Botswana Stock Exchange under the symbol 'LUC'.
A prospectus has been prepared in connection with the application for admission of the company's shares to trade on the Main Market. The Company's listing prospectus has been approved by and registered with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.
Lucara has two key assets: the Karowe mine in Botswana and the Mothae project in Lesotho. The 100-percent owned Karowe mine is a newly constructed state-of-the-art mine which was fully commissioned in 2012 .
At the 75-percent owned Mothae project, the company has completed the trial mining stage and is working towards completing a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
