IDEX Offices in Belgium and India Offering DiamaTest Device for Synthetic Stones Identification
May 22, 14 (IDEX Online News) – The IDEX offices in Antwerp and Mumbai are providing a fast screening service to diamond firms to identify synthetic colorless diamonds. The service uses the DiamaTest machine recently introduced by Hong Kong-based firm Diamond Services Ltd.
The DiamaTest screens and detects lab-grown/synthetic diamonds of any size and shape, and can screen loose parcels or diamond-set jewelry of any quantity and size of stone within a few minutes in a fast, accurate and cost-effective way, explained Kuzi, the owner of Diamond Services.
The DiamaTest technology is based on leading academic research in the field of lab-grown diamonds.
"Given the recent cases of lab-created synthetic diamonds being mixed into parcels of melee, the need for a quick and highly accurate way of identifying non-natural diamonds has become very acute," said Ehud Cohen, chairman of IDEX SA.
"We believe the DiamaTest provides the perfect solution for the diamond and jewelry industry: it is precise, provides rapid answers and is a competitively priced service. We are delighted to be able to provide solutions for our members and the wider diamond community in these two very important diamond centers," Cohen added.
The DiamaTest system was launched at the March 5-9 Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and is currently available for industry members at service stations in Hong Kong and Israel.
