GJEPC, DDC To Hold India Diamond Week
August 04, 14Around 100 diamantaires from the GJEPC and the DDC are expected to participate in the August 11-14 event.
The initiative aims to strengthen business relationships between Indian and American firms, with networking between major diamond wholesalers and manufacturers from New York and India, DDC-based diamond dealers, and buyers from other states.
GJEPC Chairman Vipul Shah said, “The Indian gem and jewelry industry strongly believes that the USA will continue to be a strong global trading partner as the US has already shown early signs of positive economic growth. The GJEPC in its effort to promote the Indian gem and jewelry industry is continuously looking for opportunities to create a distinctive platform and has collaborated with the Diamond Dealers Club to organize a unique and first time ever India Diamond Week in New York.”
It is expected that further India diamond weeks will be organized in the future at other diamond exchanges around the world, the GJEPC said, adding there was strong interest in India and New York in the event and both organizations are strongly promoting the event.
The United States is a key diamond export destination for India's gems and jewelry industries.
Among the leading Indian manufacturers which will take part in the event are: D. Navinchandra Exports Pvt.Ltd., J. B. Brothers, Kama Schacther, Kiran Gems, H. K Designs, Rosy Blue, Mohit Diamonds, Interjewels, and M. Tarun.
