Angola Diamond Revenue $661 Million in H1 2014
September 11, 14 (IDEX Online News) – Sales of diamonds from Angola in the first half of the year have risen 18 percent compared to the first half of 2013. Revenue increased to $661 million the chief executive of Endiama, Paul Nvika, reported.
Angola’s diamonds have sold at an average of $155 per carat in the first half of the year.
According to macauhub.com, Angola has collected about $47 million in taxes on its sales.
The website reported that in the first half, diamond production totaled 4.26 million carats, an increase of 4 percent compared to last year.
Angola’s main export destinations are the UAE, Hong Kong Kong and Israel.
