Gem Diamonds Sells 198-Ct Diamond For $10.6M

(IDEX Online News) – Gem Diamonds Limited has sold a 198-carat Type II, D color diamond recovered from its Letšeng mine at its September tender for $10.6 million, or $53,746 per carat.

The recovery of the diamond was announced on August 5.

Gem Diamonds CEO, Clifford Elphick said: “The sale of this large, high quality white diamond demonstrates the continued robust demand for large high quality diamonds.”
