Gemological Science International Opens Lab In Surat

(IDEX Online News) – Gemological Science International (GSI) has opened a modern laboratory facility at Surat, India’s main diamond processing center.

The decision to open the facility is due to result of growing business and more demand for GSI certification, the lab said.

GSI’s CEO, Mark Gershburg, said that the Surat office will offer state-of-the-art equipment and services, advanced technology and convenient delivery options for clients, a rise in productivity and faster turnaround times.

The full-service lab will also enable GSI to be closer to diamantaires’ offices and jewelry manufacturers’ factories.

GSI was established in New York City and also has offices in Israel and Belgium.
