(IDEX Online News) – It was a mixed bag this week when it came to polished diamond prices. Both rounds and fancies saw prices go up, as well as down.

 

There were some positive changes in rounds under 1 carat, while fancies of 4 carats and 5 carats were up as much as 3 percent.

 

Following are some of the main changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

·         0.18-0.22 cts E/ SI1 up 4%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts L / VS2 up 5%

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts D-G / VS1-SI2 and I-K / VVS1-SI2 down 2%-3%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts D-H / SI2 down 2%, H-J / VS1-SI1 down 2%-3%

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts E / IF up 2.5%, G-H / SI2 down 2%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts H and J / VS1 down 2%-3% and H-I / SI2 down 2%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts F / VVS2-VS1 down 3% and F / I3 up 4%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts M / VS1 down 2%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts a few changes including E / IF down 3% and E / I1 up 3%

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts D-E / IF down 3% J / VVS2-VS2 down 3.5%-4%

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts some changes include D / VVS1 and SI1 down 3%

 

·         1.50-1.99 cts J-K / VS1-VS2 down 3%-4%

 

·         2 cts D-L / SI2+ down 3%

 

·         3 cts a number of changes including F / I2+ and J-L / VS1 down 3%

 

·         4 cts H-K/ VVS1-VVS2, K-L / VS2 and E-H / I2 down 2%-3%

 

·         5 cts a number of changes including  D-H / SI2-I3 down 0.5%-5%

 

Fancy Cuts

 

·         0.18-0.22 cts D-E/ VVS2-VS2 down 3.5%-4%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts no changes

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts E/ IF up 4%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts no change

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts no change

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts J / SI3 down 4%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts G-I / IF-VVS1 down 2%-3%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts E-F / VS1 down 2%-3% G-H / IF-VVS1 down 2%-3%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts no changes

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts a few changes including D/ I1, E / IF and K / VVS2 down 3%

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts D-E / VVS2 down 3%, I / VS1-SI1 down 4%
