IDI to Expand ‘Find Your Diamond’ System at JCK Las Vegas

(IDEX Online News) – The Israeli Diamond Institute (IDI) will be extending its “Find Your Diamond” search system at the upcoming JCK Las Vegas trade show. The system enables buyers to search the inventory of all Israeli exhibitors at the show.

This year, IDI will provide stations in three separate locations. One in the "First Look" area right at the entrance to the show. Another will be placed in the Diamond Plaza in the Israel Diamond Pavilion at booth B5653. A third station will be located in the IDI-sponsored Diamond Plaza Lounge.

“The Find Your Diamond system…gives us a tremendous advantage,” said managing director Eli Avidar. “While the software is user-friendly we’ve staffed each terminal to ensure that buyers get the best results.”

The US is Israel’s leading market for polished diamonds; last year almost 40 percent of Israel’s net polished diamond exports of $6.3 billion went to the American market, a total of $2.4 billion. Israel is also the largest supplier of polished diamonds to the United States.

“We’re optimistic about the JCK Las Vegas show this year,” said IDI chairman Moti Ganz. “The good news is that the US market is doing well and the demand for diamonds is growing. The United States is our largest market for polished diamonds. We supply almost half of all diamonds sold there and we are working hard to maintain that position.”

According to the IDI, the Israel Diamond Pavilion comprises 46 exhibitors, with an additional 50 Israeli diamond companies exhibiting at other locations throughout the show.
