Jewelry Industry Summit Announces New NY Date and Location
May 19, 15(IDEX Online News) – The Jewelry Industry Summit, an open forum on sustainable and responsible sourcing in the jewelry industry, has announced that it will be taking place in New York ahead of the JA/NY March Show.
While the summit was originally planned for this August in Chicago, but following sponsorship from the JA/NY Trade Show, the decision was made to change the events date and location. Summit attendees will gain entry to the trade show via their registration at the summit.
Organizers also announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.com to pay for planning the summit. Summit registration can also be purchased at a discount for registration on the site.
“We are pleased to welcome the JA/NY Show as a sponsor and appreciate the assistance of their expert and experienced operations arm,” said Eric Braunwart of Columbia Gem House and a member of the Planning Committee.
“We are also happy to schedule our Summit at a time and place with which many important representatives in the jewelry industry are already familiar. Crowdfunding now is vital – and we urge supporters of the summit to donate to our Indiegogo campaign to ensure that the planning effort is successful.”
The Summit Planning Committee will hold a briefing session to update the industry at the upcoming JCK Show in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 31, at 11:00 am in the Outriggers Ballroom on the 3rd Floor of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
The Jewelry Industry Summit will take place from March 10-13, 2016.
