Gemfields India Film Explores ‘Mystery’ of Rubies
July 14, 15(IDEX Online News) – Gemstone miner Gemfields has created a short movie starring its brand ambassador, Mila Kunis, to celebrate the launch of its Mozambican rubies. Shot by art photographer Jeff Burton, the film explores the mystery and allure of rubies.
The movie features Kunis wearing bespoke pieces of jewelry set with Mozambican rubies. The jewelry was created by five different global designers: Fabergé, Georg Jensen, Spinelli Kilcollin, Miiori and Gyan, Jaipur.
“We are quite excited to showcase this film in India to our valuable consumers,” says Rupak Sen, Gemfield’s regional marketing director, Asia & Middle East. “It focuses on rubies, which are celebrated as the ‘king of gemstones’. Carefully combining intricate details from inside the gemstones with close-up shots of Mila, Burton creates an abstract piece which is a great initiative to showcase the beauty of rubies.”
The Gemfields Montepuez ruby mine in Mozambique is thought to be one of the largest and most important sources of responsibly sourced rubies in the world today.
