IDEX Online Polished Price Changes – August 6, 2015

(IDEX Online News) – Round diamond prices continue to drop, especially in the better colors and clarities and smaller sizes – below 0.5 carats. There was less movement either positive or negative for goods sized above 1 carat, with just a few isolated changes taking place.

The situation was much more positive when it came to prices of fancy cut diamonds this week. Goods sized between 0.3-3 carats saw the most movement, generally in the middle to better clarities.

Following are some of the main changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts D-F / VS1+ down 2-3% and I-K / VVS1+ up 3-4.5%
  
• 0.23-0.29 cts some changes including D / VS2, E-VVS2 and F / VS1 down 2-3%
  
• 0.30-0.39 cts F / VVS2 down 2%  and J / SI2 down 3%
  
• 0.40-0.44 cts some changes including E-H / VS1-2 down 2-4%
  
• 0.45-0.49 cts changes such as E-F / VVS1+ down 2-3% and G+ / SI3 up 2-4.5%
  
• 0.50-0.69 cts G / VVS1 down 3%, I / SI1 down 3.5% and L / IF down 2%
  
• 0.70-0.79 cts F-H / IF up 1-3%
  
• 0.80-0.89 cts F / VVS1 down 3%
  
• 0.90-0.99 cts G-I / I1 down 3%
  
• 1.00-1.24 cts E and F / VVS1 and H / VVS2 up 1%
  
• 1.25-1.49 cts a few positive changes including I and L / IF up 2-3%
  
• 1.50-1.99 cts no change
  
• 2 cts a some positive changes including I-K / I1 up 2-4%
  
• 3 cts no change
  
• 4 cts no change
  
• 5 cts J / VS1 down 2-3% and L-M / IF up 3%

• 0.18-0.22 cts no change
  
• 0.23-0.29 F / SI2 down 5% and I / VS2 up 5%
  
• 0.30-0.39 cts many positive changes including D / VVS2-I1 up 2-4%
  
• 0.40-0.44 cts D / VVS2 and SI1-SI3 up 2-3% and I / VS2-SI2 up 4-4.5%
  
• 0.45-0.49 cts positive changes including D / VVS2 and SI2-I1 up 2-3%
  
• 0.50-0.69 cts a number of positive changes including E-H / VS2-SI2 up 2-4%
  
• 0.70-0.79 cts changes including I-N / IF up 2-4%
  
• 0.80-0.89 cts changes including I-K / IF up 2-3% 
  
• 0.90-0.99 cts D / VVS2 and VS2 up 2.5-3% and G / VVS2-VS1up 2-3%
