Erez Akerman Stands Down as PDE President to Become World Jewelry Hub MD

(IDEX Online News) – Erez Akerman is to stand down from his role as head of the Panama Diamond Exhange (PDE) at the end of October to assume the position of managing director of the World Jewelry Hub (WJH). Akerman has served as president of the PDE since its foundation in 2008.

As WJH managing director, Akerman, who will also manage his own company at the PDE, focus on the second phase stage of the development of the WJH, which involves the construction of a multi-story office tower and business center.

The PDE is the only WFDB-recognized diamond bourse in Latin America.

Akerman's successor, who will take over as PDE president on November 1, will be chosen during the coming weeks.
