De Beers Appoints New CFO

(IDEX Online News) – The De Beers Group of Companies has appointed Nimesh Patel as its new chief financial officer. He succeeds Gareth Mostyn, who will take up the role of executive head of Strategy and Corporate Affairs next year.

Patel was previously group head of Corporate Finance at Anglo American. Prior to joining Anglo American, he spent 15 years in investment banking at JPMorgan and as a Managing Director at UBS.

“Nimesh has a strong track record of working in senior finance roles in large, complex organizations,” said chief executive of De Beers Philippe Mellier.  

“I am delighted to welcome him to De Beers at what is an exciting time in the company’s evolution.”
