GIA Rolls Out Inaugural Jewelry Design and Technology Course
January 17, 16(IDEX Online News) – The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has launched a jewelry design and technology diploma program at its New York campus.
The 26-week program teaches jewelry design and product development utilizing computer aided design and computer aided management (CAD/CAM) technology with 3D printer prototyping.
Students will be also be taught jewelry design, jewelry engineering, product development, custom orders, jewelry manufacturing, jewelry repair and quality assurance.
The inaugural class runs from January 14-July 22. The second intake is from September 29-April 28, 2017.
