JA Political Action Committee Raises $27,000 in 2015
February 07, 16(IDEX Online News) – The Jewelers of America Political Action Committee (JAPAC), which is the only PAC to represent the fine jewelry industry in Washington, D.C., raised $26,680 in 2015.
JAPAC’s funding efforts were considerably boosted in July, when JA Board members raised $16,450 at the board of directors meeting – the single largest day of fundraising in JAPAC’s history.
David J. Bonaparte, president and CEO of Jewelers of America said that it was important that jewelers’ voices were heard on Capitol Hill, particularly for key issues such as sales tax fairness.
