De Beers 6th 2016 Sight Estimated at $520 Million

(IDEX Online News) – The De Beers Group of Companies has announced that the value of rough diamond sales (Global Sightholder Sales and Auction Sales) for its sixth Sight of 2016 was provisionally valued at $520 million.
“This is an encouraging sales performance for this point in the year, supported by positive sentiment from our customers,” said new CEO Bruce Cleaver. “We maintain a cautious outlook for the remainder of 2016.”
De Beers’ first, second, third, fourth and fifth Sights were valued at $540 million, $610 million, $666 million, $636 million and $564 million respectively.
