JFC Launches Super Store Makeover Contest
August 15, 16(IDEX Online News) – Jewelers for Children (JFC) has launched its Super Store Makeover Contest, in which the winning retail jeweler will win a store makeover valued at more than $100,000.
Participating jewelers need to raise funds between August 15 and December 31. Interested jewelers are required to make their own fundraising progress page where they can record the donations they receive and their customers make donations – with the winner determined by a point system. A retailer will receive 10 points for every donor they recruit. For every $500 raised, a retailer will receive one point.
The contest, which was the brainchild of JFC board member Eric Zuckerman of Pac Team Group, is open to any independent retailer interested in getting involved with Jewelers for Children and would like to be in with a chance of winning a store makeover.
“We wanted a system that was fair and equitable to all independent retailers, regardless of their size,” said JFC vice president of special programs Debra Puzio.
“Everyone knows it takes the same amount of effort to recruit a donor, whether they give $ 10,000 or $ 100. By having a point system, we make sure that the work required to recruit a donor is rewarded, as well as the amount raised being recognized.”
