Angolan President Calls On Endiama To Attract Foreign Investors

November 05, 17 by Albert Robinson

(IDEX Online) – Angolan President João Lourenço has called on the board of state-owned diamond company Endiama to design policies aimed at attracting investors and foreign multinationals into the Angolan market.

Lourenço said Endiama is one of the country’s major firms and could contribute more cash to the state’s coffers, according to reports in the country.

João Lourenço also urged the Endiama board to re-evaluate its diamond trade policy and adopt fair and transparent attitudes that attract investors and discourage artisanal mining.
