Tache and Giloy to Combine India Factories

Diamond and jewelry manufacturer Tache, and Western Europe’s largest jewelry manufacturer Giloy, say they will combine their factories in India. The new entity will be called Tache Jewelry Pvt. Ltd.

Tache supplies jewelry mainly in the United States and France to major retailers, department stores, and independent jewelers. Giloy, a 30-year partner in the Tache Alliance, is the number one jewelry supplier to the German market.

Combined design and model development, increased production, centralized diamond supply, sorting, and bagging, boosted buying power, and enhanced R&D are some of the benefits the companies cited regarding the factory merger.

Tache USA Inc. will be the majority shareholder in this new venture.

The new facility will be managed by Nikhil Khandwala, former General Manager of CG International.
