Six More Companies Join RJC
March 05, 12(IDEX Online News) – Six more companies have achieved Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certification. The six are CTF Diamond Trading Company, Adiam NV, Star Rays Group Company India, Clear Light Diamond Company, Harshid Exports and manufacturer Embee Diamonds.
CTF Diamond Trading Company Ltd, a Hong Kong-based diamond trader, was verified by Sam Mao from SGS. “We are very pleased with the certification by the Responsible Jewellery Council. Strengthening our corporate image and enhancing consumer confidence in CTF products is our main objective. The RJC certification will undoubtedly enable us to achieve exactly those goals,” said director Wilson Cheng.

Another company to receive certification is Clear Light Diamond Company, a New York-based diamond trader. The verification assessment was carried out by Diane Bove from SGS. “We actively seek social responsibility and accountability in our business practices and support RJC’s important work on chain of custody of diamonds,” said president, Vinit Mehta. “RJC’s certification brings these core values to the forefront allowing greater transparency for our entire industry. We are delighted to be a successful part of this effort.”
Following a successful assessment by Manish Doshi from SGS, Mumbai-based Harshid Exports, a rough and polishing diamond manufacturer, achieved certification. "Harshid Exports believes in ethical and responsible business practices since its inception. Being certified gives us an additional endorsement to our belief,” said partner Harshid Sanghvi.
“We are delighted and extremely pleased to have achieved our RJC Certification. As a family-owned diamond cutting and polishing atelier, we offer jewelry retailers and diamond specialists a direct-to-factory relationship for all their Canadian diamond requirements,” said Mike Botha, CEO of Embee Diamond Technologies Inc. The assessment of the Canadian-based diamond was carried out by UL Responsible Sourcing.
