The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for February 20, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – Round diamonds saw high levels of trading and strong rises in smaller goods and five-carat stones, according to the IDEX Online Price Report.

There were again thin levels of activity in fancy shape diamonds, with most of the action being downward, apart from in five-carat stones where there were many rises.

The following are some of the changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts E / VVS1-SI1 rises of 2-3%
• 0.23-0.29 cts E-F / VVS2 declining by 2%
• 0.30-0.39 cts many increases in better colors, medium clarities
• 0.40-0.44 cts many rises in medium/lower clarities, higher colors
• 0.45-0.49 cts strong rises in most colors, medium/low clarities
• 0.50-0.69 cts H-J / VS2-SI2 rises of 2-3%
• 0.70-0.79 cts N / SI3 +4.0% to $1,300 p/c
• 0.80-0.89 cts three declines
• 0.90-0.99 cts J / VS1-SI2 declining by 2-3%
• 1.00-1.24 cts just one change, a decliner
• 1.25-1.49 cts several decliners
• 2 cts I-N / I1 rises of 2-4%
• 3 cts E-G / IF declines of 1-3%
• 4 cts just one change, a riser
• 5 cts  L-N / SI1-I1 rises of 2-4%

• 0.50-0.69 cts J / SI3-I1 rises of 4%
• 0.70-0.79 cts G / SI1-SI2 declines of 2-3%
