The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for March 20, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – An even mix of activity in trading in round diamonds was seen this week, with increases mostly in smaller items, according to the weekly IDEX Online Price Report.

Fancy shape diamonds saw thin activity with relatively few changes, and most of those were in a downward direction.

• 0.23-0.29 cts F-G / VS2 declines of around 3%
• 0.30-0.39 cts many increases
• 0.40-0.44 cts a wide range of increases
• 0.45-0.49 cts E-H / I1 rises of 3%
• 0.50-0.69 cts L-M / VVS1 declines of 2.0%
• 0.70-0.79 cts several declines
• 0.80-0.89 cts N / I2 -5.9% to $800 p/c
• 0.90-0.99 cts K-L / SI1-SI2 falls of 3-4%
• 1.00-1.24 cts unchanged
• 1.25-1.49 cts no changes
• 2 cts two declines
• 3 cts M / IF -2.0% to $9,200 p/c
• 4 cts just one change, upwards
• 5 cts J / VS2 -3.2% to $21,200 p/c

• 0.18-0.22 cts E / VS1 -3.9% to $1,250 p/c
• 0.23-0.29 cts G-H / VS1 rises of more than 4%
• 0.30-0.39 cts E / IF -3.7% to $2,600 p/c
• 0.40-0.44 cts just one change, downwards
• 0.45-0.49 cts two movers, one up, one down
• 0.50-0.69 cts G / VS1 +2.0% to $2,550 p/c
• 0.70-0.79 cts several declines in mid-colors, mid-clarities
• 0.80-0.89 cts J / SI1-SI2 decreasing by 2%
• 0.90-0.99 cts unchanged
• 1.00-1.24 cts K / IF -2.7% to $3,600 p/c
• 1.50-1.99 cts M-N / IF rising by 2-3%
