Angola Diamond Sales Up 35% in H1
August 05, 15(IDEX Online News) – Sales of Angolan rough diamonds increased 35 percent in the first half of the year to reach 4.2 million carats, totaling $573 million, according to a report in the Jornal de Angola.
In the first six months of 2014, the country sold 4.1 million carats of goods for $426 million.
In 2014, as a whole, Angola produced 8.6 million carats of diamonds, which sold for $1.274 billion, reported macahub.com.
