Jewelers Mutual Launches Updated Online Safety and Security Resource
August 16, 15(IDEX Online News) – Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company has launched an updated online resource for safety and security training for jewelers.
The new JM University uses Litmos, a learning management system. The first available courses are “Danger on the Road” and “Selling with Security,” with more loss prevention training topics planned for release in the near future.
The reconfigured programs are intended to be both more user-friendly and accurate in monitoring staff training. Jewelers and store managers will be able to check the progress of their staff in different areas of training and be able to evaluate and address any areas of concern.
“Our first priority in creating the new JM University platform was to continue providing our members and their associates with easy access to ‘Danger on the Road’ and ‘Selling with Security,’” said Mark Cumicek, director of loss prevention at Jewelers Mutual. “These two courses are time-tested with important tips to help keep jewelers safe, and now they’re even easier to access and share with a jewelry business’ entire staff.”
“Even the most experienced sales professional can use a refresher on selling jewelry and traveling with safety and security in mind,” said Cumicek. “All it takes is one mistake, one moment of vulnerability, for criminals to strike. We want our members to be as well-informed as possible, and the new JM University is a great tool to test your security knowledge and skills.”
