JA CASE Awards Recognize Excellence in Jewelry Design
March 30, 16(IDEX Online News) – Jewelers of America (JA) announced that it recently held its annual retailer designer competition, the CASE Awards, at the JA New York Spring Show.
The CASE Awards recognize JA retail members who exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design. The JA said that many of the winning pieces featured handcrafted design with unique stone settings and reflected current trends in both bridal and fashion jewelry.
JA received 42 entries for five award categories; Jewelry up to $2000, $2001-$5,000, $5001-$10,000, Over $10,000 (retail) and Buyers’ Choice. A judging panel of industry experts presided over the competition, and voting in the Buyers’ Choice category was open to all JA New York attendees with a separate ballot.
“The CASE Awards showcases the fine craftsmanship, creativity and expertise of Jewelers of America Members across the nation,” said JA president and CEO David J. Bonaparte. “These entries from our design competition exemplify the high-quality fine jewelry pieces that consumers can find at their local JA retail jeweler.”
The 2016 CASE Awards were sponsored by Synchrony Financial and Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company.
