ALROSA to Hold Rough Auction, Polished Diamond Tender

(IDEX Online News) – ALROSA will stage an International Auction of Special Size Rough Diamonds of 10+ carats and a Polished Diamond Tender from August 23 to September 3.
The events are taking place in the run-up to the Second Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
There will be 19 rough diamond lots with a total weight of 1,098 carats. ALROSA said it is offering the diamonds for sale along with JSC Almazy Anabara. The largest diamond being offered for sale at the rough auction weighs almost 402 carats.
A Polished Diamond Tender including 28 diamonds will be held at the same time. Five of the diamonds weigh over 5 carats. 18 diamonds are fancy colored. The largest round cut diamond is 40.25 carats.
ALROA said the auctions will be the first to be held in Vladivostok in the Far East of Russia. The diamonds will go on display from August 23 to September 2, and the auction results provided on September 3 at www.dea.alrosa.ru.
A total of 30 companies from Hong Kong, Israel, India, the USA, Belgium and Russia will participate in the viewing. Rough diamond sales are organized by the United Selling Organization of ALROSA, and polished diamond sales by DIAMONDS ALROSA.
