De Beers Sells $630 Million of Rough in Seventh Sales Cycle
September 06, 16(IDEX Online) – De Beers said it sold $630 million of rough goods in its seventh sales cycle of 2016.
In addition to announcing the provisional figure, the miner said that the revised sales figure for the sixth sales cycle was $528 million.
De Beers CEO Bruce Cleaver said: “We saw healthy demand for our rough diamonds in Cycle 7, as manufacturers brought forward some of their demand in order to cut and polish rough diamonds in time for the important retail selling season.”
