Anglo American Reports Slight Rise on Year in Output for Third Quarter

(IDEX Online) – Anglo American Corp, the 85% owner of De Beers, reported diamond production of 6.3 million carats for the third quarter of 2016, a 4% increase on the year-earlier quarter.
Production was reduced in the third quarter of 2015 in response to soft demand.
For the year to date, output is 19.6 million carats which is a nine percent decrease on the year-earlier figure.
