Jewelers for Children and JA to Host 'Celebrate New York' at JA New York Show

February 09, 17 by Albert Robinson

(IDEX Online) – Jewelers for Children and Jewelers of America announced that their “Celebrate New York” event will take place at the Jacob Javits Center on March 12, in conjunction with the JA New York Spring Show.

The event raises money and creates exposure for the industry charity.

“Celebrate New York is a key opportunity to have a hometown presence here in New York City,” explains David Rocha, Executive Director for Jewelers for Children. “This event is a great opportunity to network with friends and colleagues in the relatively relaxed environment of New York City. Hosting the event on site at the Javits Center should serve to maximize both attendance, and awareness for the organization.”

“We are always honored to support Jewelers for Children,” said Dave Bonaparte, President and CEO of Jewelers of America, co-organizer of Celebrate New York. “JFC is very important to our industry and to the many charities with which they partner. We encourage our members to attend the JA New York Show and come together at Celebrate New York to network in a fun, relaxed environment for a good cause.”

“We are delighted that Jewelers for Children is hosting their event at the Javits Center,” said Drew Lawsky, Group Show Director for JA New York Shows. “Our co-location ith MJSA and the Antique Watch and Jewelry Show, LUEUR, means we should see even greater attendance than in years past. JFC is such an important organization, we like to support them however and whenever we can.”

Proceeds will go towards supporting Jewelers for Children’s partner charities—CASA, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Santa-America, and Make-a- Wish America.
