Angola Diamond Sales Drop 19% in September
November 05, 15(IDEX Online News) – Diamond sales in Angola dropped to $99.5 million in September, according to the Ministry of Geology and Mining. This is a decline of almost 19 percent compared to September 2014, reported macahub.com.
During the month, the country sold 794,000 carats of diamonds at an average of $125 per carat.
Sales fell 7.68 percent by volume and 18.61 percent by value.
However, the September figures are more positive than those seen in August and represent a 19.19 percent increase in volume and a 24.51 rise in value.
