Rosenheim To Receive 2017 GEM Award for Lifetime Achievement
July 12, 16(IDEX Online News) – Jewelers of America (JA) has announced that Jim Rosenheim, chairman of Tiny Jewel Box in Washington, D.C., will be the recipient of the of GEM Award for Lifetime Achievement.
The GEM Awards gala honors an individual’s or company’s outstanding achievements, whose work raises the visibility and status of fine jewelry and watches. The award for Lifetime Achievement recognizes a career’s worth of contributions and excellence to the fine jewelry and watch industry.
Rosenheim has helped his family grow the three-generation jewelry business, Tiny Jewel Box, into a Washington, D.C. institution. He began his career at 12, working by his parent’s side, and by 18, he was a lapidary and bench jeweler. As chairman, he has driven the jewelry store’s transition from a resource of primarily antique jewelry to a fashion forward one. Rosenheim is also credited with discovering designers David Yurman and Alex Sepkus.
