The IDEX Online Polished Price Report - September 2017

(IDEX Online News) – There were relatively low levels of activity in round diamonds last month. Declines were noticeable of 2-10 percent in M-N, I1 1.25-1.49 carat stones, as well as in 5.00-5.99 carat diamonds in H-I colors and SI2 clarities. Meanwhile, 0.80-0.89 carat diamonds in G-H colors and VVS2-SI2 clarities saw increases, as did a range of categories in 0.90-0.99 stones.

Fancy diamonds also saw significantly reduced activity last month. There were declines in the 0.70-0.79-carat category in I, SI1-SI2 goods, as well as in several categories of 0.90-0.99 carat diamonds, and in the 5.00-5.99 carat size range. Meanwhile, there were rises in several categories of 0.40-0.44 carat stones, as well as in some 0.80-0.89 carat diamonds, and in the E-H, SI3-I2 category of 4.00-4.99 diamonds.
